OK, well, it's time to catch up a little. Here are a few from our phones again, around here the last month or so.
Sometimes, when Tucker is not taking away every single thing that Davey touches, he shares his cars and teaches Davey how to race.

Davey still thinks he's a chicken. Sometimes he puts food on the floor that he already has in his hands so he can suck it up like this. Awesome.

Date night with my wicked bad awesome husband who surprised me and met me all dressed up. And he took me to a girly movie. He is really amazing sometimes. We had such a fun night. So good to get out alone!

I love this picture of the kids both relaxing and sucking their thumbs with their favorite item, Tuck his blanket and Davey his monkey.

Sunday walk. Doug is really awesome at getting us out and doing things. The sick kids started crying on the way over to the Heiau, and Tucker was being a real pest, screaming and crying about everything and I was ready to go home and kill him, and Doug persevered and we got there and had a great time. He even talked him into a little walk and even watch the sunset. He's such a good Dad.

And some more bucket bath. And look at the amazing purple ginger going crazy, and the new awesome bench in our shower :)

Notice the teeth. And the still squinty left eye!

Davey boy looking like a cutie.

tucker and Lola sitting in a tree....

Doug dropped Tuck off at his friends house and they were just finishing up their lemonade stand. Love it.

Bucket Bath time!! Pretty much every day, good times.

Dad made an awesome breakfast and Tuck ate it all up. Since then he's been sick and a super picky eater.

Tucker acting like a big boy in the front seat with dad. Little stinkers.

Look at that awesome hair blowing in the breeze!!

Davey loves his daddy, that's for sure.

Nice to have some family fun.

Lately.

I have a serious post to do on our summer vacation but for now, here are some from my phone. Davey has a hernia (poor baby, but doesn't seem to bother him) and was scheduled to go in this morning, but he decided to get out of it by getting croup this weekend, Friday night of course. He sounded terrible. Luckily I barged our way into the doctors office on Saturday morning and we got him the medicine he needed and a few hours later he didn't sound like an old barking seal, just a small little barking pup. The good news is, he is feeling better so he can continue with this yoga moves. He loves to put his head down like this. Now he is starting to get a pretty good somersault. Same day I kind of poisoned Tucker I think by not paying attention as he ate a whole bag of sugar free gummy bears, and later he had the worst gas and diarrhea, just twisting in pain. I really think those sugar free bags need a big warning! But in between, Tuck had a great time with Doug surfing at Turtle Bay and seeing a huge turtle swim next to them and crashing the pool and the slide at TB. Davey and I joined after his nap and had a great time as well.

Friday night Tuck and I had a date to the movies and we finally saw Planes with him. He totally loved it. He looked like such a big kid sitting there eating his popcorn and loving the entire movie. He is really such a good little buddy most of the time. He gave up his nap too! Which is kind of sad but it is kind of nice too because although you don't get a break (or doug doesn't get a break) anymore during the day, he goes to bed so early and easy at night now, 7:30 rather than 10:30. And he woke up for awhile in the night adjusting, but he is doing pretty good with this. He's getting himself potty trained and wears undies during the day and does pretty good with it, and we have a big boy bed set up in the room, we'll see when he moves over to that. Can't believe how much he still loves his crib.

Dad just put in the bench at the backyard shower, which is pretty much our favorite family hangout. Nice right? And the purple ginger coming in is so beautiful right now. That might be my favorite flower right now.

Us hanging out in the shower. As you can see, good times had by all. I love this picture, and how davey is starting to say cheese for pictures, and how tucker still doesn't close his teeth to say his "s" sound, the nice, cheeeeeethss.

We tried gymnastics for Tuck for a few weeks but that didn't go so well. He does not appear to like doing things in big groups. He is loving happy school this year with Tosh, Bowen and Lola, and even told me before going that he wanted to go in by himself, without Daddy, Mommy or Davey and he made Doug stay in the car as he ran into Tosh's house! This is the little gymnastics that they have set up. Pretty fun stuff, I wish he liked it already, all the other kids moms get to sit and watch and he made me stand next to him and be right there the entire time. Nope, maybe next year...

Having some fun at the beach on Saturday in the rain with some friends.
Checking out the crab with Dad. They are really loving staying home with him. He is doing such a great job. I can't believe how much his patience has increased with them and he now has a great understanding of the joys and terrible parts of staying home. I think he's ready for some more adult interaction. But he really is doing an awesome job. It's a great feeling when the kids want Dad instead of Mom and Tuck just says, bye Mom and waves as I'm heading to work, no sadness at all. Yay! And Doug has so much more energy than me, I think if I was home with them right now they would no doubt be watching a lot more TV. So all is well with 2 kids right now. 3 is going to really going to upset this routine I think...
Tuck is an awesome swimmer already. Probably because he goes for hours every day with Dad.
Uncle Jake came to visit for 24 hours. We loved having him here. A few surf sessions, some pizza and play time and he was gone again. Glad to have him for a little bit though.
Dad also is our resident smoothie maker and he does a fantastic job.
Having some more fun at some friends house. They were loving having Doug under there.
His hair was getting too out of control, and by that I mean he looked just a little too homeless, so I started snipping while he was sleeping :)
Uncle/Cousin Mark reading scriptures to Tuck. Nice work Mark.
Tucker can not keep his hands off Davey. The amount of times he tackles, checks, knocks over or hugs or just gets him is ridiculous. Sometimes funny, sometimes not at all. But there is definitely love between the two!
Playing at Waimea with this whitey. Other than that, all is well and we are not ready to have a baby in less than 2 months.

Davey's One!

Lately Tucker has been saying some really funny things and it surprises me that I must say things that particular way.
When he finds us, or is looking for us he says, “Mama, where are ya?” all fast and close together, or “There ya are.”
Last night I went into Tuck’s room after I had already put him to bed and gone through the routine (fluoride, gummy vites, brush teeth, new diaper, pj’s, book, bed with dental “treats” and , prayer, and then turn on the penguin night light). Well, he sleeps with the door opened every night so I hear him. I was just brushing my teeth when I hear “Mom!” I go in and he pulls me close and says in a whisper, “I have one problem.” I was laughing and said what is your problem? He says, I have pee. And in fact he did, all over his pants. He was just so cute about it. Changed him up and he went right to bed. We have really been enjoying him lately.
The other day we were at the park and Davey was walking really good and Tuck exclaims loudly, “We’re so proud of ya, Davey!” He always says excitedly, “Look! He’s standing!” or now, “Look! He’s walking!”. He really is the sweetest brother.
They love, love, love to make each other laugh.

Davey’s first year.
He loves balls, following Tuck around, hanging on things, climbing up the slide and falling down, playing in the water/bath/pool/ocean. He loves to snuggle on silky and plush blankets and pillows. He rolls around on them on his back and totally spreads out and relaxes and it’s so cute. He has the cutest baby giggle, and Tucker gets that out of him most. He thinks that Tucker is hilarious and Tuck goes to great lengths to get that laugh. He got his first tooth around 8 months and now has 6 and it has been a super slow process. Took his at about 11 months old. He loves his baba, and he is now walking exclusively while holding on to his blanket, which he loves to snuggle and suck his thumb with. He loves to take 2 naps, and he loves his cribs. He pretty much jumps out of your arms into the crib when he’s tired without a peep and snuggles into his blankets. He loves to dance and loves watching Baby Genius shows with music. He is really the sweetest and is so different then Tuck, so much more like a baby than Tuck ever was. His nicknames are chubby, chub chubs, peanut butterball, baby, Davey-boy and sometimes we actually call him Davey. He loves to play in Tuckers room and in the crib with Tuck. He is pretty hungry kid, he’s not that great at eating a lot on his tray, but he is great at sucking down bottles. We are going to have to change that soon. He has chubby cheeks and his smile melts just about everyone. When you are holding him and someone comes up to him, he snuggles into your chin. He loves the trampoline. He loves to drink from hoses and the faucet and sprinklers and the gutter drain pipes(when it's raining, it's quite a site). He is a pretty good sport about everything getting taken away from him, sometimes he freaks out. He is so different from Tuck in his organization style. His idea of fun in to have a bucket of toys in front of him and take them all out one by one and fling them all over the place. He isn’t in love with cars but that might be only because Tucker will never let him touch them, but he definitely prefers to just throw them around. He can fit a golf ball in his mouth as well. He loves to chew on everything, especially gravel. He loves bike rides with dad. He is still really fair and we have to watch him in the sun. He is a whiner sometimes and just follows you around whining/crying for a few days and just when you think you might want to get rid of him, he turns into the cutest thing for the next few days. He is a great sleeper at night, usually from about 7:30 to 6:30 or so. With about 4-5 hours of nap time a day. Love him for it. He is really strong and has a really tight grip. In the last few days he is just starting to stand and walk more than crawl, and he seems very excited about it. He laughs really loud when you make faces at him. He is so happy when you go in to get him from his crib, the polar opposite of Tuck who wakes up like an angry bear. Davey is so happy and sweet right after. Another nice change.

He loves corn on the cob.
Seriously can't get enough of that cute chubby face. He really melts us.
4th of July fireworks at TB. Davey absolutely loved them. Tucker kept saying, "I don't like these fireworks." He really hates loud noises, like the Vitamix, whereas Davey totally loves it.

They are really great little buddies. Tucker can barely handle when he's sleeping, he always wants to wake him up. They love playing in this pool together.
Cute little bums.

Davey's birthday morning.
I love this picture. Their faces are perfect.
Got his new front facing car seat. Him and Tucker talk to each other and Tuck tries to make him laugh a lot of the time.
Loving the sink bath :) We are so glad to have these two in our lives even though we are at our whits ends with them some of the time!!

Lily was here. And the rest if the family for Adams wedding and it was a great time. These two were so excited to play together and they were so funny. We miss them!

Kinda walking!

He is getting there. Standing up on his own and taking a few steps but crawling is still his preferred method of travel. Tuck gets so excited for him! They are becoming super good buddies and it makes me happy.

wonderful weekend

This weekend was pretty eventful and fun. Tucker was a big helper getting the weed out of the soon to be (we hope) garden again.

We decided to head to Wet 'n Wild water park on the west side and spent the afternoon at the kid section. Tucker loved it. The rest of us had a lot of fun too. There were slides and obstacles and a lazy river and wave pool that we could all go on. One of these days we will get to go back for a big kid day. After the park we went to Costco for a few things and we devoured a case of strawberries while in there. Davey can sure make a mess. And both of their hair is pretty wild lately. Tuck just got another haircut that morning by Dad.

And a beautiful full rainbow that followed us on the way home.
On Sunday we barely survived church with two extremely tired kids and ended the day at the Visitors Center. I Had never walked into one of the rooms all the way and was amazed to find this beautiful view I have been missing for years.

Davey was having a great time smacking his hand on the table and Tucker was getting a kick out of it. They are really starting to play together more and more and I love it. I especially love how reverent and quite they are at church and the temple (I wish!)

Monday we headed early to Waimea with a few friends and had a great morning and afternoon there. Tucker and Doug had fun jumping off the rock and we all had fun playing in the water. It was a perfect day. And bummer that I took no pictures.  We came home and crashed, we, as in me and the kids, while Doug went out surfing. Had a relaxing evening to end off the weekend right.

Picture credits are all Doug, who is, by the way, turning into quite the Mr. Mom.
