Bye bye!

Ok, so this was supposed to go up last Friday... but better late then never. We miss you mom! Thanks for everything!!

We're officially on our own for the first time. My mom just left last night after she extended her stay for a few days :) We already miss her so much!! She was a big help and Tucker is going to miss his long walks around the deck with her and all their special bonding time. And don't worry. First day gone and I've already showered and ate breakfast. I guess that's a good enough start and a sure sign we'll probably survive somehow around here! Thanks for everything grama lolo!!

3 weeks...

and the week count begins again... but with much cuter pictures to accompany it this time...

well, we've made it 3 weeks today. and it seems like the longest/fastest 3 weeks ever. tucker already has gotten over the worst diaper rash ever and giving me a new patch of grey hairs in the process. he's finally growing some eyelashes :) and getting a lot of hair. doug keeps saying it's going to be curly... so we'll see about that. everyone seems to love his little nose. he's started getting really fussy in the evening and i'm pretty sure he has some gas, so we'll see how the next little while goes. hopefully we'll figure out what the sudden, startling screaming is all about. i'm pretty sure he's about 8lbs already. he's starting to feel a little heftier. and he is getting really strong i think. his head is way less floppy already and he seems way less breakable. and he slept 4 hours in a row for a few nights. sooo, i guess besides the fussing and screaming fits, he's a total keeper :)

It feels like this is what I'm going to be doing for the next little while... and not much else...

i love how cute he is in his sleepers. thought it would be too hot for them here, but his little arms get so chilly without them.

Some of daddy and the little guy... Doug found a way to coax a smile out of him all the time. He just rubs his beard on his face or kisses him and he apparently likes it :)

Life so far...

Well, it's been a busy, interesting, crazy, sleepless, exciting, fun, stressful and lovely week. He's such a cutie and loves to cuddle. He got a terrible diaper rash that almost gave me a heart attack, but that's getting better and life is feeling much nicer since then. Although he still needs to air dry a lot and I got poop shot at me this afternoon all over everything. Doug's been peed and pooped on a few times too. Love it. He's sleeping in his swing right now and I've got a million things I need to be doing before feeding him in a few minutes, so here are few pictures. There are bunch on facebook already, but here are a few of my favorites.

Proud papa. Just leaving the hospital. I seriously loved staying in the hospital. So nice to have everything taken care of at the push of a button. Don't worry, I didn't push it that much.

He's here!

5 pounds 14 oz. 20 inches tall. born at 7:20pm on Friday night! And he's a keeper. Still no name, but we're working on it. all is well with everyone around here.
