New York was sooo fun. We finally booked our tickets the morning of... I know, this last minute ticket buying is starting to really get ridiculous. BUT it was so fun to get there and Tucker did really well on the plane ride over. All of his plane rides actually, which was wonderful and a nice surprise. Luckily Uncle Jake was still there to play with and it was so fun to see them together. Tucker really seemed to enjoy hanging out with him. During this week we were there he changed so much. He started relaxing more and smiling and just being so much more enjoyable. I guess he likes NY :)
Dad teaching the boys the best way to get all the meat out of these tasty ocean treats.
Sunset from the deck :)
Quality time with Grandpa Dave. It was so fun to see them together. Dad was so cute when he picked us up from the airport. So excited to see and hold him. Loved it. It was so fun to be there with everyone and Tucker is so lucky to have such great family all around.
There was a full rainbow down at the bay that night. It was pretty amazing. That night there were no bugs, no wind, rainbows, beautiful sunset, pretty much perfect.
Down by the bay...
Gazing lovingly at dad...
Yay! Diane and Juliana came to visit us and it was sooo great to see them. Unfortunately it was a reminder that there really are perfect babies out there that never cry and just smile all the time and sleep great. Um... how did ours get mixed up Di?
And then we got to see Megan and Maddison! What a fun day. At least this little angel has some devil in her too :) It was really great to catch up and see friends with their babies. Hectic but way fun.
And having fun with Great Grandma Gerry. It was so great to see them together :)
I think he likes her :)
Tucker's first West Gilgo Beach Water Carnival. He was a pumpkin for the costume parade.
He won the "Newest Baby Award".
Black and white.
One of the first times Doug actually figured out what would make him smile. It was a very fun moment. He liked to have his legs run. Very cutie.
Riding Copper :)
Tucker and Nanilolo. I love this one.
Later at the carnival, after I got scolded for trying to go back for a second hot dog, Doug and Dad got convinced to enter the swim contest. Around the dock at the bay. Had to represent the Rathgebers. It's fun to hear of Doug as a Rathgeber. And everyone was like, oh, that's Becky Rathgebers husband. And yes, he represents well and came in 1st place by a real lot. So proud. These pictures were from the greased watermelon contest that finishes the carnival. It got pretty rough in there but looked hilarious. Doug almost got it there in the end but Bobby Axt ended strong.
I guess we didn't see that spit-up on your face Tucker... sorry about that kid.
His nice Sunday outfit from aunt jess.
So fun being over at the Psillos as usual. Danny is looking so big and great. I'm mad we didn't get a picture of everyone together but look how cute these guys are.
It was stormy the day we left. I love when it's like that.
Wiping up another spit attack. Seriously, never ending.
What you didn't see was tons of junk food, pizza, donuts, black and whites, and multiple trips to Ralphs. If you wondered what we did the rest of the time :) We had such a great time in NY and was so sad to go.
