My first haircut

We were eating dinner at Subway last night and then Tucker was running around the shopping center and Mandy was working at the haircut store so we went in to say hi and decided to give this kid a buzz cut. It was kind of scary to say bye to his mangy mop but it has fallen out on one side and was long and weird on top. I love it. He looks so cute! And he was a perfect angel all the while.

garden shower

I love this kid. He's getting to be so grownup already. He really is such a good little buddy these days. I liked these shots that Doug got after they went swimming the other day.

Syncronized Swimming

OK, this was so fun to watch this summer. Doug and I couldn't get our act together for this, but everyone did so awesome. I love that everyone is willing to be so silly and just go for it. My babies were freaking out this morning so I'm not even sure who won the competition, but frankly they all did awesome. We ran out of memory space so we didn't catch the end of Al and Britta's who had quite a finale. And I think Jos and Mason too! Sorry guys.

Lately

Overload of pictures here but I feel like I haven't posted any of this baby brother that is getting so big already. He's such a great addition and we are really enjoying him. A little taste of what's been going on around here lately. Or at least what we were able to catch on the camera.

Tuck's first haircut by the lovely Mandy.

He did so good!

He rarely just relaxes and lets you read to him. He's a very interactive participant. I love how he is crossing his legs. And the car bracelets thanks to Jess and kids.

Just some hanging around going on:

Tucker loves to push the stroller. In fact he is very insistent. He's actually quite good at steering it.

And Richie came for a quick visit. Always a pleasure.

He can easily roll over now. If you put him on his back it's not more than a few seconds and he's on his tummy. Leads with his head as you can see.

Tucker loves to play with him and snuggle him. It's so precious. Really melts my heart. Why was I so scared to have this baby in our family again? I think he's a perfect fit.

He loves to suck on his hands. And his thumb when he can manage it.

Hanging out in baby brothers bed.

Tuck thinks it's so funny when Davey rolls over on him.

chinny chin chin

Yay! Enos is here tonight. Tucker is stoked because he absolutely loves Enos and he gets to stay up until 10 watching crocodile documentaries. What's the special occasion you might ask?

Apparently Doug got elbowed playing basketball and passed out, with eyes and legs convulsing. He woke up in a pool of blood and a huge gash on his chin. And then he rode his bike home. So Enos comes over as we start to get the kids to bed so we can run to the emergency room to get stitched up.

Or so that's what I thought we were doing until Doug starts talking madness about stitching it himself. I am totally against this by the way. Then enos starts in and gets this video from youtube going, because you can't just stitch unless you look it up and learn how to on youtube 5 minutes before, right? No, not joking. This is what they used to refresh their skills.

Apparently one of our friends stitched himself up a few times so we call him over to help. Luckily Doug has all the stitching supplies on hand because he's been dreaming of stitching himself up one of these days, true story.

With surgical gloves on they get to business and for some reason the knot won't stick. That first video has let them down. So we move on to this one, second times a charm. Go youtube. 6 stitches later it's looking a lot better. I'm still feeling pretty woozy and but glad it's over.  Doug is doing way better than me and I'm just watching. Enos got the whole thing on video so that will be available for your viewing pleasure soon.

Looks like they turned out pretty good actually.

3 years.

Happy Anniversary to us. 3 years but it seems longer than that, in a really good way. I love him so much and I'm so glad we got married and he finally settled into the idea, and I know he is too because he tells me every day it's the best decision he's ever made ;) Today started with relaxing past 5:10 in the am, the time his alarm always goes off, followed by an awesome, sweaty, bike ride up Laie Falls with lots of strawberry guava. Then pizza and pool time with Tuck, a quick snuggle with Buster and we got to head to the beach for a swim and a Ted's donut. Those two are at the dump right now getting rid of some plants and then it's grilled cheese for dinner which I'm going to try not to burn again. Then some snuggle time and a movie. I love this guy and the little family we get to have now.

We are alive and well. Joslin just got married to Mason Quist this past weekend. It was a beautiful wedding and everything was perfect. We have been having fun in Nevada City and will catch up one of these days, but for now, here is a picture to keep you satisfied. Baby Davey is doing great and still a keeper.

Love the way he's looking at Gio. He loves his older cousins.

And this is the best family picture we took this day unfortunately.
